THE FUTURE
Green Biofuels Ireland is committed to a green future.
At present, Europe is facing a 20% shortfall in the supply
of diesel by 2015 (Source: McKenzie Report). We hope that GBI will be
instrumental in addressing this diesel deficit.
Our biodiesel is already helping to reduce C02 emissions to
the equivalent of taking approx. 20,000 cars off the road each year.
Our capacity for production is much greater – 34 million
litres – which means that we can look forward to increasing that amount to 40,000
cars’ worth in the not too distant future.
Algae fuel – GBI is currently exploring ways to produce
biofuel from algae and seaweed in Ireland.
